July 2012$8.5 Billion NSW North West Rail Link chooses TeamBinder The $8.5 billion North West Rail Link rail infrastructure project will see the NSW Government deliver a fast, safe and reliable journey for commuters to Sydney’s growing outer north-west. Following a stringent search over a two-year period, during which several other international products were also considered, the TeamBinder Document Collaboration system by Melbourne’s QA Software has emerged the winner. The complexities of this important project led Transport for NSW to undertake a rigorous evaluation of several leading Document Control Collaboration solutions. This involved several months of researching the requirements and specifying them before going to public tender. TeamBinder will service a large volume of documents and correspondence on Australia’s biggest transport project to date. The NWRL line consist of eight new railway stations proposed at: Cherrybrook, Castle Hill, Hills Centre, Norwest, Bella Vista, Kellyville, Rouse Hill and Cudgegong Road, the first stage from Epping to Hills Centre Station is scheduled for completion in 2015. This will include the 14-kilometre Epping to Chatswood line. Fifteen kms of tunnels between Bella Vista and Epping will become the longest and deepest rail tunnels ever built in Australia. TeamBinder was chosen by the TfNSW project team as the web-based platform for managing project information including drawings, documents and contractual correspondence. |
