The
workflow for a drawing review consists of the following elements:
- Teams of reviewers are usually defined to review
drawings of different disciplines or packages of drawings on a
project.
- Each Drawing Review Workflow will have a Team Leader who
makes the final decision on whether a drawing is approved
- Drawing Reviewers are sometimes required to review the
drawings in a particular sequence. This is called a sequential
review process.
- Drawing reviews can also be conducted in parallel.
- Workflow is defined as the process of defining drawing
review teams for each discipline and the sequence in which the
review needs to be
- conducted before final approval or rejection by the
Team Leader.
Facilitation
of web based drawing review workflow systems like TeamBinder enables
project management staff working at several locations to review
and approve drawings simultaneously as soon as they are released,
saving both time and cost.
QDMS is a LAN based system which
allows reviewers to review drawings online and text based comments
or redline markup comments
