Document History

As revised documents are received, QDMS automates the manual process of stamping documents "superseded", and storing them separately out of the way. The location where superseded copies of documents are stored in QDMS, is called the Document History File.

The document history file is built automatically as revised documents are processed through the master document register and is an auditable record of when all revisions, of all documents, both internal and external, were revised, or received.

The document history file is equivalent to a filing cabinet where superseded copies of documents are stored.
