QDMS - Overview

The QDMS Document Management System was developed by QA Software in 1995, and still remains one or our most popular systems. Over the years, it has had numerous enhancements, most of which have come from user feedback. This has helped QDMS become a very powerful, mature and user-friendly document management system.

Based on a Master Document Register, it is easy to identify the latest Revision of any document/drawing. QDMS uses a transmittal engine, to make the distribution of documents/drawings very simple and auditable.

If revised documents are received, users are prompted to send the latest revision, to recipients who have previously been sent the same documents/drawings that have now been superseded.

If QDMS has a single reason for being, it is to ensure that recipients are kept up to date, with the latest revision of documents. Working on a project with the wrong revision, is one of the most common reasons for rework, cost and time overruns. Good document control will therefore save both money and time.
