Once inspection results are available they can be downloaded from the Pocket PC to DefectInspector on the PC. Defect lists by subcontractor can then be emailed direct from DefectInspector to each responsible company.
 
DefectInspector includes the option to send defect lists either in PDF or MS Word format. The MS Word format is a unique template that allows the subcontractor to enter the progress of their rectification works, which in turn can be imported back into DefectInspector to update the status of defects.
 
Once the subcontractor claims a defect they are responsible for has been fixed and the status in DefectInspector has been updated the inspection list is re-uploaded to the Pocket PC and a re-inspection takes place. DefectInspector on the Pocket PC can be set to show only items requiring re-inspection, simplifying the process for the inspector.
