Defect Inspector allows project defects to be captured efficiently with users managing issues through to resolution.

Defect Inspector uses a unique hierarchical work breakdown structure to map the project, ensuring the inspection process is comprehensive. The inspection list is uploaded from a PC to a Pocket PC (PDA) device which is then used by inspectors to record the results of their inspection (both items passed and defects).

Defect Inspector on the Pocket PC not only enables defects to be captured but also allows users to assign contractors responsible and estimated costs to rectify the problem. With an integrated camera, pictures of the defects can be taken and marked up to assist the contractor to maintain a pictorial record.

On returning to the office, the inspection results are downloaded to the PC and automatically emailed by trade to the relevant contractors assigned to fix the defects.

On completion, the contractor simply updates the inspection list, returning it to the inspector for automatic update of the Defects Register and Defect Inspector and for re-inspection by the inspector.

Defect Inspector is extremely feature rich, yet simple to use. Delivering real value, reducing the risk of project delays and cost blow-outs from poor management of defects.

  • Reduce the amount of paperwork and time spent on data entry and spreadsheets.
  • Have the estimated cost to rectify all outstanding defects available at the touch of a button.
  • Reduce the risk of spiralling costs and delays from poor management of defects before and after practical completion.
